Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Brian Touchstone, sole proprietor trading as Compound when you use Compound. Using the app means you accept them.
Last updated 16 September 2026
1. Who we are
Compound is operated by Brian Touchstone, sole proprietor trading as Compound, 1107 Isabella Rd, Cantonment, FL 32533, United States. In these terms “we”, “us” and “our” mean that company, and “you” means the person using the app. You can reach us at support@buildstackbecome.com.
2. What Compound is
Compound is a fitness training app. It gives you a structured training program, logs your workouts, tracks runs and walks by GPS, syncs steps, sleep and body weight from Apple Health or Health Connect, and scores each day out of 100 across training, steps, recovery, nutrition and consistency. On the coaching plans, a human coach reviews your training and messages you inside the app.
Compound is a training and habit-tracking tool. It is not a medical device, not a diagnostic service, and it does not provide medical, nutritional or pharmaceutical advice.
3. Health and safety — read this
Talk to a doctor before starting any training program, and stop immediately if you feel unwell.
Exercise carries a risk of injury. Nothing in Compound — including any program, prescribed weight, pace, calorie or protein target, or anything a coach says to you — is medical advice, and none of it is a substitute for a qualified healthcare professional. You are responsible for judging whether any session is safe for you on the day. If you have a heart condition, are pregnant, are recovering from injury or illness, or take medication that affects exercise, get medical clearance first.
Our coaches are fitness coaches. They are not doctors, physiotherapists, dietitians or pharmacists, and they will not advise you on medication or medical treatment.
4. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 to buy a subscription. Between 13 and 17 you may use Compound only with a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on your behalf and holds the subscription. We do not knowingly provide the service to anyone under 13.
5. Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code — there is no password to lose. Keep access to that mailbox secure, because anyone who can read it can sign in as you. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account. Give us an email address you actually control, and keep it current.
One account is for one person. Don’t share or resell access.
6. Plans and what each one includes
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Tracking | $9.99 | $29.99 | The full app, starter programs, no coach |
| Remote Coaching | $79.99 | $799.99 | Everything above, the full program library, a coach who checks in |
| Full Custom Programming | $149.99 | $1,499.99 | Everything above, plus a program written for you and revised as you progress |
Prices are in US dollars and exclude tax, which is calculated at checkout based on where you are. We may change prices — see section 8.
7. Coaching
On the coaching plans a coach reviews your logged training and messages you in the app. We aim to respond within two business days. Coaching is a best-efforts service, not a guaranteed outcome: we cannot promise a particular level of strength, weight, body composition or performance, because results depend on factors outside our control — your adherence, sleep, nutrition, genetics, stress, injury history and life.
We may change which coach you work with. Coaching is delivered in the app; it is not a 24/7 on-call service, and it is not emergency support.
8. Billing, renewal and price changes
Our payments are handled by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and is the seller for your purchase. Your subscription is also governed by Paddle’s own terms, and your card details are held by Paddle — never by us.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price for the plan you are on — each month or each year, whichever you chose — until you cancel. You can cancel at any time and keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling, refunds and your statutory cooling-off rights are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
If we change the price of your plan we will tell you by email before it takes effect, with enough notice for you to cancel first. Continuing after that date means you accept the new price.
If a payment fails we may retry it and may suspend access until it clears. Suspension for non-payment does not delete your training history.
9. What you put into Compound
Your training logs, notes, messages and progress photos stay yours. You give us only the permission we need to run the service: to store that content, show it back to you, and show it to the coach assigned to you. We do not publish it, sell it, or use it to advertise to you. How we handle it is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to upload, and don’t upload anyone else’s photo without their permission.
10. Acceptable use
- Don’t share, resell or sublicense your account.
- Don’t copy, redistribute or republish our programs, exercise library or written content outside the app.
- Don’t scrape, reverse-engineer or attack the service or its API.
- Don’t abuse, threaten or harass a coach or anyone else using the app.
- Don’t use Compound for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules.
11. Our content
The app, the programs, the exercise library and everything we have written remain our property or our licensors’. Your subscription buys you a personal, non-transferable right to use them while it is active — it does not transfer ownership of anything.
12. Ending the agreement
You can cancel whenever you like, in the app or through the link on any Paddle receipt. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we stop offering the service — and if we stop offering it, we will give you reasonable notice and refund any period you have paid for but not received.
You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time; see the Privacy Policy for how.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The service is provided “as is”. We don’t promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we don’t promise that data synced from Apple Health, Health Connect or GPS will be complete or accurate — those readings come from your device and can be wrong. Don’t rely on them for any medical purpose.
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded — including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use Compound after that means you accept the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, and disputes go to the courts there. If you are a consumer elsewhere, you keep the protection of any mandatory law of the country you live in.
